With this show Albion Barn is celebrating the ready-made, the enduring presence of neon lighting, the digital and the manufactured.
Industrial Light & Magic is the name of the special effects company founded by George Lucas in 1975 which began by bringing to the screen the unfolding drama which began “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away”…
Borrowing the title to celebrate the sculptural use of electric light and sound effects, these installations start with James Turrell’s projection works from 1968 and continue to the neon word pieces of Douglas Gordon, 2021.
